UPDATE: The hearing went as expected and the judge ruled that physical abuse took place and not self injury. The 'victory' seems hollow as not a good situation for anyone involved. Next step is to gain agreement with birth father to allow our niece to attend HBA Kindergarten. Please continue to pray for her father and step-mother that salvation will come to their home. Prayers for our niece to be emotionally healed and for us to give her a stable loving and safe home while the process continues. Thank you for your prayers and support on this journey. Shawn Burtner
